T-Squared Summit at UGA Postponed Until 2021

Back to the drawing board or perhaps more appropriately, back to the race shop. The T-Squared (Technology & Talent) Summit scheduled for Oct. 18-19 in concert with the University of Georgia has been postponed until 2021.

The original concept was to bring the automotive/motorsports industry together on the UGA campus to address technical innovation in the industry. Key automotive OEMs and suppliers were preparing to host several hundred students seeking automotive/motorsports careers from universities throughout the Southeast.

As the corona virus eliminated the opportunity to conduct an in-person conference, UGA and conference organizer STEAM Sports Foundation shifted to a virtual format. As students began returning to classes throughout the Southeast, it became apparent that there were many more health, logistical and financial hurdles to clear than originally perceived.

The conference, as conceived by STEAM Sports Foundation, is an opportunity to raise scholarship and grant funding for those seeking careers in the automotive/motorsports industry. It was to be conducted in proximity to Motul Petit Le Mans, IMSA’s sports car classic at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta Oct. 17.
