The Immersion Tours provide scholarship recipients with two weekend experiences to learn about career opportunities in motorsports. The inaugural Immersion Tour was held in the fall of 2023 just outside Charlotte, NC in concert with NASCAR’s race at Charlotte Motor Speedway. An additional weekend tour was added for the 2024-25 academic year. While GM’s NC Technical & Research Center hosts the fall tour (Oct.), a second tour (Q2) is hosted by GM in Michigan at is Warren Tech Center. In NC, scholarship winners spend dedicated time at the General Motors Technical Center, Charlotte Motor Speedway, HendrickMotorsports and Trackhouse Racing operation headquarters. The NC facility focus is on motorsports, while the Michigan center offers the breadth of GM’s customer automotive development
